Testimonials
Unfortunately I was not blessed with great teeth and following a couple of extractions and the wearing of crowns. My dentist suggested implants and recommended me to a surgeon based in Central London. I decided to make contact with him together with another five surgeons in and around Central London and following consultations my gut feeling told me that I should go for Kuljeet Mehta.
My reason for doing so is that not only is he very charming he is also gentle and extremely professional and I felt completely relaxed and at ease with him.
I did not experience any pain or heavy bleeding and when I got home that evening he called to make sure that I was OK and also the following morning.
I had several aftercare appointments with Kuljeet prior to and after the crowns had being fitted to my implants and 10 months on I have my lovely implants and have never encountered any problems.
My family and friends are very special to me and if ever any of them decides to have dental implants I would have no hesitation in recommending them to Kuljeet.
I felt safe with him.
by Evie Heaven"I would like to express my delight on the results of the treatment received by Dr Mehta. In just an initial consultation, I received sufficient confidence to embark on a course of treatment that not only restored the appearance of my mouth and teeth, but improved from a health perspective too.
Having Dental Implants to replace two ugly Crowns was one of the best decisions of my life. The whole procedure was explained with great clarity before any work was undertaken, a complete cost plan was provided and throughout the process numerous x-rays and impressions were taken to ensure that the end result was right for me in terms of maximising appearance and dental health.
The implant surgery carried out by Dr Mehta was very slick and I felt in capable hands throughout the procedure, although moderately uncomfortable, it was painless and I left with well-fitting temporary teeth, and shortly after insertion I ate, talked and worked normally the next day. The whole process was carried out with meticulous detail.
I am extremely pleased with the end results and have experienced no adverse reactions. I can now smile with confidence"
by VictoriaI have recently had a diseased (canine) tooth replaced by a dental implant by Dr Kuljeet Mehta.
In my opinion this procedure was carried out most expertly and professionally with a minimun of invasive surgery which in this instance, for me, was no more troublesome or painful than having a conventional crown fitted. Although not a cheap option, the implant is virtually indistinguishable from the natural tooth and I am pleased with the result. I am not now 'aware' of the presence of the implant and there has been no impairement to my 'bite'.
At all stages of the treatment, involving some half dozen appointments over a period of about four months, I was kept informed of the procedures involved and all my queries were answered. The importance of the after-care was stressed.
by Dr John WoodSince my early twenties I had become conscious of a slightly receding gum over both canine teeth. Although I cared for my teeth - regular visits to the dentist, brushing twice a day and flossing - I was advised the gum recession was the result of over zealous brushing. This gradually worsened over time.
Having always held public facing roles, I became more and more conscious of the receding gum on one particular tooth and its overall appearance. I was also anxious that I might at some stage lose the tooth. No amount of reassurance from any dentist could convince me otherwise!
Having extensively researched possible solutions and the various specialists to undertake the work, I found the Woodborough House Dental Practice in Pangbourne and was recommended to see Dr Kuljeet Mehta to discuss a gum graft. From the first consultation I found him helpful, reassuring and informative – taking me through the reasons for gum recession, the gum graft and what it would involve, follow up care and how to avoid further problems in the future. There was minimal discomfort during the actual surgery and Kuljeet and his staff ensured I felt relaxed throughout. He telephoned me during the first few days following my surgery which was reassuring and I was able to contact him at anytime with concerns. I hasten to add that because Kuljeet is so good I didn’t need to!
The end result is fantastic – the gum is perfect. I am personally much happier with my teeth / smile after years of accepting this imperfection. Every stage of the treatment and the end result was exactly as Kuljeet had discussed. I cannot recommend him or the treatment more highly.
by RebeccaI would like to say how happy I am with the results of the gum restoration work that you carried out on my front teeth. I had been unwilling to smile because of unsightly gum recession, and so was recommended to you by my dentist at the Sanhurst Academy Dental Practice.
You felt that the problem could be resolved through a graft from the roof of my mouth to replace the receded gum. You talked me through the procedure in detail. You felt that the procedure had a high likelihood of success, but you were also very open about any possible risks. You gave me the confidence to take your advice.
The procedure went as you predicted, discomfort was less than expected. You were most solicitous as the gums healed, calling me at home a few hours after the procedure to check how I was. Then you checked again in the following days, and continued to be solicitous over the following weeks, with short but frequent appointments to confirm that the healing process was going well.
As you predicted, the healing went very well. I am very happy with the results, which are actually much better than I had hoped. The only thing that was less than expected was the price, so I can confirm that I feel that I received excellent value for money.
So, thank you very much for your excellent treatment and for restoring my confidence in social situations. I would be more than happy to recommend you and this treatment to any future patients.
by Dr James P AbbotI was referred to Kuljeet earlier this year as I had been suffering with gum disease and the medication I was on was making it worse. My gums were swollen, bleeding daily and sore. I was finding it difficult to eat on one side of my mouth and it was very uncomfortable, making me feel very depressed. During my first visit to Kuljeet he found that the pockets in my gums were as deep as 9mm in some places and the x-rays showed my bone had been eaten away (where the plaque had gone under my gums) only leaving as much 30 - 40% bone in some areas! He was surprised at how swollen my gums were.
Following a course of treatment with Kuljeet, where he deep cleaned my top and bottom teeth and gums, showed me how to clean my gums properly, using a more suitable toothbrush and dental brushes for in between, and advised me on oral care, my gums are now hugely improved! There is no swelling, bleeding or pain which is brilliant! My last assessment showed that my gum pockets have reduced to mostly 1, 2 and 3mm which is a significant improvement! I still need to maintain my cleaning routine to ensure there is no more bone decreasing and will be continuing my dental care with Kuljeet ever 3 months for the next year for thorough cleaning.
I would like to thank Kuljeet and his team for their care so far as it has made a massive difference to me and my gums!
by Karen DanielsI was referred to you following a number of gum infections, abscesses, toothache and bleeding gums. I had a real phobia about dentists stemming from bad dental experiences as a child and was very anxious and stressed about my gum problem and the treatment. You put me at ease and fully explained what needed to be done at every stage. I had confidence in you and the pain relief meant that the treatment was not as bad as I had expected. My gums have healed well and by following the home care instructions and maintaining a good oral hygiene routine my gums are healthier than they have been for about 40 years.
by Sonia CROSSI would like to express my sincere thanks to you regarding the periodontal treatment I had as your patient.
As you know, I was exceptionally nervous having had a dread of any dental work for many years due to bad experiences.
I would like to also use my experience to help put other potential patients at ease who may be as nervous as I was.
The treatment I had from you was nothing to fear. The mildest of discomfort came from having the injections, which you managed to complete in a quick and gentle manner. Afterwards the treatment of clearing the areas of infection was painless and I felt at ease.
I also had to have root extractions at my first visit. I was amazed how quickly this was done. As you said to me, "you will feel a little pressure" and that was all it was!
My 1st appointment was one and a half hours. I had very little discomfort afterwards, not enough to warrant pain killers. The following day I was able to eat more or less as normal.
I had a 2nd appointment of similar time about a month later. I felt far more relaxed about this one. No concerns at all really and there was no need for any. The treatment went as well as the 1st appointment.
It's 2 months since I had the treatment. The results are excellent. No more bleeding from my gums when I brush my teeth. No discomfort as I brush....and no discomfort when I eat. It has made such a difference.
Overall the best thing is, that my confidence has been restored thanks to your kindness and expertise.
A heartfelt thank you and I would hope the telling of my experience, may help someone else who is as nervous as I was.
by Helen WilliamsonI have always attended the Dentist for regular 6-monthly checkups, and have also cleaned my teeth twice a day; habits that developed in my early teens when I had to wear a brace for 2 years. Apart from an occasional filling, I suffered no pain and as my Dentist made no comments about any aspects of my oral hygiene, I falsely believed that my teeth and gums were in reasonable condition.
My Father lost his teeth due to gum disease in his fifties, but the only indication I had of any problem developing was occasional redness and bleeding when cleaning my teeth. To me this did seem too severe and always seemed to clear up quite quickly.
I started to get occasional localised twinges of pain, and thought I needed a filling. My Dentist assured me this was not the case and told me to use salty mouthwashes. Over the next few months the pain became more frequent and was occurring throughout the whole of my mouth. I normally do not take pain killers at all, but the severity was such that I asked the Chemist for the strongest non-prescription tablet available and was taking the maximum dosage most days.
At this stage I still did not know the nature of the problem, but knew that I had to take some other action as it would have been impossible to wait so long due to the pain I was in, and also with the likelihood of the damage to my gums increasing.
I received a thorough examination of my gums, the Periodontist explained the problem and the treatment required.
After each treatment the gums healed quickly with no infection developing. The most noticeable difference for me is that I have no pain at all and the teeth feel more secure in the gums. I have also developed a thorough cleaning routine twice a day including tepe brushes and floss, which I did not previously use on a regular basis.
I am very satisfied with the outcome of the treatment and feel more confident about being able to maintain my teeth and gums for many years to come.
by Susan WilliamsThank you for the treatment you gave me for periodontal disease in April last year.
I was amazed, and very pleased with the difference it made both to the appearance of my gums, and also because I have completely lost the unpleasant taste that was always in my mouth before the treatment. I was not at all sure that I could believe that I would no longer need mouth wash, as you suggested would be the case, after the treatment, but that continues to be true.
I should have had more faith in you!
Your "After-care" has been great too. You have taugh me a lot about how to keep my untidy mouth healthy. Now it is really down to me to really persevere with what I have been taught, as, in retirement, I can no longer afford to continue paying for check ups from you.
I am fortunate to the extent that I can continue to visit Hygienist Anna to help me keep disciplined in my mouth care. I am certainly glad Dr. Dhillon suggested your treatment, and I would recommend your treatment to anyone whom I met who was looking for further treatment for gum disease.
